Vedder ProDraw OWB Paddle Holster Review

I have been testing the Vedder  ProDraw™ OWB Paddle Holster. First lets talk about what situations you would use a paddle holster in. I personally would use it for concealed carry under a coat, range use, or in the outdoors, hunting or fishing. I would not use it for open carry in crowded public places where someone could grab my holster and try to remove it from me. For open carry I would prefer a level 2 retention holster and something with belt loops for more security. ​Thats enough about the why, lets get into the features of this holster. Starting with the paddle it self is is polymer with a rubber grip texture that goes against your pants.

The cant can be adjusted 15degrees forward or backwards. I never had the paddle come loose or the holster come off while testing. The paddle has a wedge design making putting it on easy but unwanted removal much more difficult. The lower part of ther paddle helps keep the pistol vertical and can be used to push on to remove the holster from your waist. ​

The kydex it self is well made and very solid. This holster also features adjustable retention giving u full control over the draw resistance. Similar to their other OWB holsters this model features a large sight chanal to fit larger sights and a open muzzle end design to allow for threaded barrels and help prevent the build up of dirt and other obstructions. 
If you are looking to conceal this holster you may find it more difficult then their Light draw holster because it does not sit as close to the body. You could conceal this with a coat or loose hoodie but thats about it. ​

As mention in past reviews this is made in the U.S.A. and Vedder offers a 30 day return policy so if you dont like it send it back. 
So overal this is a well built holster. As mentioned before I will use this at the range or in the outdoors and the fact it goes on and off easy is the added bonus of a paddle holster. I have tested a few different vedder holsters and I have been extremely satisfied with the build quality and have come to trust them to properly hold my pistols.
